You can order a poem in the form of a Shakespearean Sonnet for only $25.00.
As defined by WordNet Dictionary, “a sonnet consisting three quatrains and a concluding couplet in iambic pentameter with the rhyme pattern abab cdcd efef gg “. I am sharing one with you, as my most personal verse written to my husband when we were first dating over ten years ago…
Saving Sonnet
Yours is a love that I cannot refuse
Pulling me back from the edge of a cliff
A beacon of light, for you are my muse
To free me from the darkness of my own tiff
Unearthed by my demons, coming out of the past
I become a ball of fire, a puddle of tears
I fall in a pit, black engulfing and vast
Your embrace tells me it is only my fears
But to me they are real, too big and strong
I writhe in the pain, I question your trust
I lash out as you cry, “Something is wrong!”
To go and get help, you say that I must
Emotional Exorcism, all right, I’ll get to it
Thank you for being here and loving me through it
