Happy Father’s Day
I’m sharing with you my Father’s Day poem to my dad. Feel free to edit it and use it as a gift for your own Father, or order your own personal poem this Father’s Day.
With such fond memories of childhood
It’s hard to know where to start
but for each and every happy one
You certainly have been a part…
From the time when I was a little girl
and danced on top of your shoes
to the times when I was growing up
and you made me less confused
Like when we were skiing together
and a teenage boy on the chairlift was bold
he had the nerve to put his arm around me
even after I told him I was ten years old!
I threatened his life and told his friends
and complained to you all the way home
You listened calmly, an occasional chuckle
and then you made your feelings known
You reached your hand accross to me
and said, “Don’t you worry Jay,”
“Just do the same with all the boys
and you’ll be better than okay.”
Your advice to me so honest and true
and never was it prolific
from “Don’t lose your independence”
to “I think that Jim is TERRIFIC!”
Thanks not only for being there
but also for being my friend
for sharing with me your leisure time
not the usual father/daughter trend
You’re so much more than a “good father”
going far beyond what is obligatory
You participate in our lives
and truly enjoy our company
And I get to relive my memories
of growing up all over again
as I share with you in love and joy
as you spend time with your grandchildren
Two Poets | Never ending verse
Two poets | Never ending verse
Awhile ago a woman named Cathy McClanahan called me to share that she likes to verse just like me! She has a business making custom made greetings cards, including her original verse. We decided to play a game and verse back and forth to each other. I have her permission […]
Poetry | A Spritual Experience
Poetry | A Spritual Experience
An invitation
for revelation
about creation
to make the sensation
of Peace
Let my remembering never cease
but my practice increase
to bring me release
of ego
Help me to know
to learn as I show
wherever I go
The Light that is within me
ORDER A POEM
Cyberspace Race
Cyberspace Race
It seems we are in a race
to be number one in cyberspace
not just a name, but also a face
if the site is down- What a disgrace!
Finally, my site is new and complete
with very few others do I compete
not as literary poet or one that’s “beat”
but an artist of verse which is pretty neat
So I hired […]
The Poem that Disappeared
The Poem that Disappeared
I had posted a poem to my brother a couple of weeks ago, and it has disappeared into cyber space. Luckily, I still have my hand-written version of it, so here it is again.
Ode to my Bro
He claims I’ve never written him one
so this poem is for my brother
Mom said when no […]
Marvelous Makeover | Minimalist Look
Marvelous Makeover | Minimalist Look
Today I had the opportunity to have a Mary Kay Makeover, compliments of my friend Joanne Sauter. I tend to resist anything that may require more effort on my part (just wearing make-up), but the process was so fun and simple that I purchased my own “starter” kit. The basics were […]
Making Memories | River Rhythms
Making Memories | River Rhythms
Taking photos and making memories with friends and family is a staple of summertime. Add to that special occasion, awesome vacation, family reunion or unplanned visit with a personalized poem. Here are the memories shared by my husband Jim and his fellow “river rats” on a recent adventure on the Green […]
Summer Weddings | Personal Gifts
Summer Weddings | Personal Gifts
It’s that time of year when we are jetting off to one place or another, perhaps to some trendy or exotic locale to attend a wedding. Today weddings are not all put on by young couples starting out in need of all the “items” to fill a home and begin a life together. […]

Featured Poet | Sue Borg
This is a poem that my friend Sue shared with me. She has given me permission to share it with all of you.
Coming Home
I tugged the safety belt
one more time
pulling the parachute
as close to me
as my thoughts.
The plane left the ground
rising upward like a lost balloon.
my chest heaved
the constant thrum of […]
Summer Spirit | Writing Light
Summer Spirit | Writing Light
A special thanks to Deb Whiting for this analogy…
A friend uses an analogy
for the concept that we all are One
just consider our Source
as if it were the Sun
and we are all the Sunbeams
extending that Eternal Light
through any clouded illusions
we see It radiating bright
Our Vision of the Sunbeam
shines away thoughts of separation
the […]
