For “Locks Of Love” this sonnet is written
to celebrate my shortest haircut ever
a look with which I am totally smitten
I am amazed at how much I could sever!
Having made a donation two times before
but growing enough to keep a shoulder length
such a drastic change no one could ignore
I feared like Sampson, I could lose my strength
Yet I looked in the mirror and saw not a fright
as I held my ponytail up high
my new style was such a delight
that I encourage others to give it a try!
To cutting such lengths, many may scoff
but along with the inches, I took ten years off!
